Digital Labor is the workforce layer of an autonomous enterprise. It sits inside the wider operating stack — never on its own. This supporting view shows its authorization context, not the complete Core Systems architecture.
AEOS Orchestration coordinates assigned work. AEOS Control Tower™ provides human visibility and oversight. Digital Labor owns neither system and has no intrinsic authority, policy, governance, evidence or human-control power.
What it is not
Three workforce levels, each carrying a different scope of responsibility and a different boundary. Digital Labor (LaaS) capacity is a primary expansion dimension within the AEOS QUANTUM™ platform subscription, not a standalone platform or automatic authority grant. A future deployment may use one level, two or all three as each is released.

Hierarchy does not mean every deployment needs every level.
An enterprise may deploy Digital Employees only; Digital Employees with Digital Managers; or all three levels — depending on operating maturity and authority requirements.
A digital worker is never simply an AI agent with a prompt. It is an enterprise-controlled workforce identity, defined stage by stage.
Digital Labor provides workforce capability. AEOS Enterprise Authority™ determines what that workforce is permitted to do.
Digital Labor does not bypass Authority. Every intended action is evaluated before it is permitted.

Every Digital Labor entity is described by the same governance attributes. Authority is delegated by the enterprise — it is never owned by Digital Labor.
What a digital worker may conclude is bounded by decision states D1–D4, which are separate from its autonomy level — see AEOS Enterprise Authority™.
Digital Labor augments the workforce. It does not remove people from the enterprise.
Workforce level and autonomy level are two different dimensions.
Digital Employee, Digital Manager and Digital Executive are workforce roles. A0–A5 is autonomy maturity. A Digital Employee at A2 is not the same thing as a Digital Manager at A4 — the two scales are set independently.

A human performs and controls the operation.
Assisted
Digital Labor assists a human but does not independently decide or execute.
Decision Support
Digital Labor analyzes context and provides recommendations or decision support.
Bounded Decision
Digital Labor may make defined decisions within explicitly delegated authority and policy boundaries.

A meaningful Digital Labor action should produce actor identity, organization, role, task, authority context, action, timestamp, policy decision, approval state, evidence and outcome.
Worker records, capability configuration, proposed action intents and audit events exist today. Full end-to-end evidence capture across execution and outcome is designed, not delivered.
